Mystic Kings Krewe Membership Terms & Conditions

By submitting payment and joining the Mystic Kings Krewe, you agree to the following:

  1. Age Requirement

    You affirm that you are 21 years of age or older. This is required for safety, insurance, and compliance with city regulations. Anyone found to be under 21 forfeits their membership without refund.

    Safety, Conduct & Participation

    Members must follow all safety instructions provided by Krewe captains, float marshals, and city officials.
    • Respectful behavior is expected at all events and during the parade.
    • Unsafe, intoxicated, or disruptive conduct may result in removal from the float or Krewe activities without refund.
    • Members must not interfere with float operations, violate city laws, or engage in behavior that endangers themselves or others.

    Liability Release & Assumption of Risk

    Participation in parades and Krewe activities involves inherent risks. By joining, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with:
    • Riding or boarding the float
    • Walking near or around moving vehicles
    • Large crowds, noise, and public interaction
    • Throws and parade supplies
    • Weather-related conditions
    • Equipment, staging, or operational hazards

    You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Mystic Kings Krewe, its organizers, officers, volunteers, employees, float builders, contractors, and affiliated entities from any and all claims, liability, injury, property damage, or loss arising from participation.

    Event Changes & City Requirements

    All parade dates, routes, and events are subject to change based on weather, city regulations, police direction, public safety, or other unforeseen circumstances.
    The Krewe reserves the right to modify, postpone, or adjust any event as needed. Members will be notified of updates as promptly as possible.

    Public Perception & Media

    The Mystic Kings Krewe is a legitimate, permitted organization recognized by the City of New Orleans. Public commentary, rumors, online speculation, or political statements do not reflect official Krewe operations. Members agree not to misrepresent the organization or its leadership in public or digital spaces.

    Membership Benefits

    Membership dues support the production of the parade and associated events, including float construction, throws, permits, insurance, storage, staffing, and communications. Benefits may include:
    • Access to Krewe announcements and events
    • Participation in the Mystic Kings Krewe parade
    • Select throws and costume elements
    Benefits may vary based on event logistics and city requirements.

    Non-Refundable Membership Dues

    All membership dues are strictly non-refundable, including but not limited to circumstances involving:
    • Scheduling conflicts
    • Personal inability to participate
    • Weather or event-related changes
    • Dissatisfaction or changes of preference
    • Travel interruptions
    • Removal due to misconduct or safety issues

    Once paid, membership dues remain with the Krewe to support parade production and operations.

    Acknowledgment

    By purchasing a membership, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms & Conditions and that your payment signifies a binding agreement with the Mystic Kings Krewe.
